The Board of Supervisors, Montgomery County, N.Y.

Honorable Sirs: I hereby tender my report as Superintendent of Burials of Montgomery County, as follows: I beg to report having considered fifteen claims on Montgomery County, eight of them being for burial expenses, and seven for headstones.

I notice that five of the above claims appear in the 1917 issue of the proceedings of the Board of Supervisors, to wit, those of:

Abram Snyder,
Denman Finch,
Alexander Dingman,
John Green,
John Hoffman.

I would advise the honorable board to ascertain whether or not these claims have been paid.

As a part of this report, I would advise that I have examined several of the cemeteries and am sorry to report that in many cases the headstones are in very bad condition, inasmuch as some are tipped sideways, while others are loose in the base and some even are lying on the ground. As a remedy to this situation, I would recommend that the board appropriate a sum of money not to exceed the sum of $75.00.

Fred A. Russell,
Superintendent of Burials,
Montgomery County, N.Y.
