A miraculous escape from death was the experience of Edward Shutts of Auriesville, Justice of the Peace, when his coupe was hit by a West Shore freight train.  Mr. Shutts was thrown clear, fifty feet from the collision, and received a severe cut on the head.  He was picked up about twenty minutes later and taken to a doctor's office.  There were no eyewitnesses of the accident.
