Jacob Fake, b. about 1803, married Delias Baum, b. about 1807. Jacob is likely the son of Nicholas Fake, b. about 1768, a farmer, living with Jacob in the 1850 census in the town of Minden, Montgomery county, NY. Jacob had at least the following children: Henry Lansing (b. abt 1830, m. Margaret Elwood), Isaiah (b. abt 1834, d. 1905), Elizabeth (b. abt 1836), Augustus (b. abt 1838), John R. (b. abt 1840), Mary E. (b. abt 1842), Catharine F. (b. abt 1844).
Henry Lansing Fake, born about 1830 was residing in the town of Minden, Montgomery county with parents Jacob and Delias Fake in the 1850 census. By 1860 he had married Margaret, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Elwood of Hallsville. She was born about 1833 and died about June 1919 in Troy, NY. By 1870 he had moved his family to Cobleskill, Schoharie county, NY. They had children: Milton E. (b. about 1854, m. Mary L., son Guy L, b. Nov 1899, lived in Rutherford, N.J.), Mary D. (b. abt 1857), Jennie M. (b. abt 1859, b. Mr. Uline and lived in Troy, NY), Elmer I. (b. abt 1862, d. 21 Mar 1896 in Troy, NY), Anna L. (b. abt 1864, m. Adam Minch), Leonidas G. (b. abt 1865, lived in Albany, NY), Ella M. (b. abt 1867, m. I. B. Powell, lived in Greenwich and Boston, MA)
