Hi,
Your site stated that if you had an ancestor in your area that enlisted in the CIVIL WAR that you would be interested. JOHN R. BURNHAM born 03 Dec 1845 New York, died 01 Mar 1925 Monroe County, Wisconsin. John married: Pheobe Ann Decker in Wisconsin.

John enlisted at age 19 yrs, 04 August 1862, Company F, 115th Infantry Regiment New York. He was in service at Harper's Ferry, where on 15 September 1862 he was taken prisoner and was paroled 16 September 1862. John was wounded at Olustee, Florida (Gunshot wound in head) on 20 February 1864. John mustered out of service, 17 June 1865 at Raleigh, North Carolina. (Company F, 115th Infantry Regiment New York).

John appears on the List of Pensioners on Roll (January 01, 1883) - Volume 4 Monroe County, Wisconsin (Tunnell City). He is listed asJohn H. Burnham listed in Company F, 39th Wisconsin volunteers: enlisted at Racine, Wisconsin May 14, 1864 and mustered out of service September 22, 1864.) He was granted a pension for disease of the abdomen, vision, and wound of the head. This information may not be totally accurate but does match with the information that we have on John being wounded in the head.
