The following men all joined company A of the 115th New York Infantry in Glen, Fulton county, NY.

LANEGAR, Alex., Glen
LANEGAR, A. H. M., Glen
LANEGAR, Ira A., Glen
LANEGAR, Jacob M., Glen
LANEGAR, John A., Glen; killed at Olustee Feb. 20 1964
LANEGAR, Peter, Glen; killed at Fort Fisher, N.C. Jan. 15 1865
LANEGAR, Solomon, Glen

They are all likely related to each other in some manner. Furthermore, Alexander and Solomon are likely brothers as they resided near each other and worked together for quite a long time after the war. This family was difficult to search for in census records due to the numerous possible variant spellings of the name including: Linnegar, Laneger, Lenegar, Leneger, Lenigar, Seneger, Linegar, Lainegar, Leneker, etc. Most family members show up in records under more than one of the variant spellings and as I have no idea which are the "proper" spellings, I have simply assumed the Lanegar spelling for convenience.
