Civil War Soldiers of the Minch Family

Civil War Soldiers Database online through the New York state Archives at:
http://www.archives.nysed.gov/a/researchroom/rr_mi_civilwar_dbintro.shtml
From this resource you can look up, and purchase for a very nominal fee, the service records of
NYS Civil War soldiers. The most interesting part of these records is generally the physical
description and the absences from duty (if the soldier had children born during the war, this
might account for their births). Also, sometimes there's additional information that is of interest.
In this case, the spelling of Mintch for the last name is the first time that I've seen this
variant spelling used for my Minch family.
