More specific information about this regiment comes from "The History of Montgomery County" by Washington Frothingham, published in 1892 in Syracuse, NY by D. Mason & Co, Publishers and Printers.

"It cannot be safely asserted that the foregoing rolls include the names of all the Montgomery county volunteers in service during the war of 1861-65. There were many men who left the county and enlisted in companies formed in other parts of the state, and were not, therefore, credited to their own town. The names of some of these have been obtained, but they are classified under the heading adopted above."

Note: In the listing below I have noted information which differs from that in Beers' 1878 book under the man's name. Men marked by the star * are new listings in the Frothingham book. Also, there is a discrepancy between Battery Two and Battery 12 - both have the same men! Can anyone advise as to what was the correct regimental number?
