THE TOWN OF GLEN

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, NY

Edwards

Hi, I'm Pete Simmonds, your Town of Glen Coordinator. I started in genealogy over twenty years ago with a 7th grade project that never ended. I have traced ancestors back to most of western and northern Europe, and have visited ancestral lands in England, Wales, France, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Norway and Belgium. One of the highlights of my research has been "discovering" and visiting distant cousins in my great-great-grandfather's hometown of Kington, England. My ancestors in Montgomery County include Shutts, Irving, Van Antwerp, Quackenbush, and Huguenor in Glen, as well as Rector/Richter in Palatine. I am particularly interested in confirming that Conrad Shutts, b 1782 was indeed the father of Abram Shutts, b 1812.
